A life coach assists clients in identifying their goals and then determining how to achieve those goals in a way that is consistent with their underlying values and natural tendencies. This helps clients recognize their innate ability to independently navigate their paths toward long-term and sustainable growth. Life coaching may help with procrastination reduction, goal accomplishment, self-efficacy and self-empowerment, personal insight, self-reflection, and improvement in general quality of life.​

Life Coach vs Therapist?​

A life coach will be proactive in assisting you in achieving your objectives. A therapist can assist you in looking forward, but they will also assist you in exploring your history and evaluating your experiences from the perspective of mental health. Counsellors and other mental health specialists assist individuals in overcoming trauma and other challenges from their past, as well as in healing and treating mental health disorders.Although a life coach can assist you in addressing certain unsolved issues, they are not qualified to treat addiction, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, or any other mental health conditions. Although life coaches can provide guidance to enhance one's well-being, it does not mean that they are qualified to treat mental health issues. A life coach cannot diagnose or provide treatment for mental illness.
